I had a 1989 f-150, when I pulled the release on the emergency brake the pedal came out but was still engaged. I discovered that the springs wouldn't actually release due to the fact they were just old and didn't work properly. After I changed the lines to both sides and the one where they join to the pedal everything worked great. That might be where I'd check |
