I found it.
It's the largest of the relays, mounted by their tops to a metal bracket under the dash, above and behind the fuse panel. Mine's grey. It does have a plastic connector with a bunch of wires on it. It's a 7-blade unit, says "Flasher" and other things on it.
The parts guy gave me the wrong thing, it's not the 3-prong, $13 cube. It's about $76-$114. So it's a good thing mine still works ( ha ).
I found a blown fuse, and smoke came up from under the hood, at my driver's side signal-light area when I replaced it. So, I must have a short around there.
