My father just give me his mother's (Elva) 68 Fairlane 500 a couple of weeks ago. It's a 2 door with the 200 ci engine. Today I removed most of the interior, checked out the engine, seems to be in good shape for not running in 17 years. The car has under 26k, and does have some "minor" rust in all the usual places. Waiting to get a new ignition to see if it fires up. Plan on just getting it road worthy then work on it as the time and $ is available. Best of luck on your project. |
