Unhappy 1986 fairmont wont start please help

Hi ive got a 1986 ford fairmont ghia XF and i just bought a new battery and connected it and went to start it and it turns over and wants to fire up but it wont.the battery is fully charged and the fuel is reaching the engine properlly.
Could it be that the spark plugs are dirty or i need new ones because the cars been sitting in the shed for a bout 1 year and not been driven.
Ive also got a can of "Start Ya Bastard" spray and it says it instantly starts cars but i need to spray it in the air intake or air cleaner but since im new to this where can i find the air intake an cleaner. Im only 16 and learning more as i go i love fords and want to become a mechanic.

so can anyone please help me!

P.S. well i think the battery is fully charged it should be cause its brand new but the volts gauge on the dash is about 1/3 full. is that the battery power?

any help would be much appreciated.
