Angry 99 zx2 timing belt

Alright so I put a timing belt on this, ran great for about 100 miles. Then the thing shredded. It was a gatorback, so not the cheap on either. Did the component kit ect ect. Its the early 99 so I read up and it says you have to adjust the timing tensioner after about 50 miles are some sites. Ok, did that on this new one. Last night, it jumped as near as i can figure because my marks dont line up any longer. So pulled the Cover off and about half the belt is shredded. Ive done my fair share of car repair but man I cant figure out why this thing is shredding after maybe one oil change again?! Any ideas would be appreciated. Its an automatic if that helps. i did replace the component kit both times. The one after 2000 miles looks alot better then the one after 50, the one after 50 had rolled edges and stuff. The car just died like a fuel pump both times. Last time it didnt get hurt, so hopefully this time the motor is good too. Did it the way haynes walked me through, my buddy has accesses to ondemand and we followed that as well. Now Im stumped and about ready to push it in the lake. Gave me a p1383 code which would be a misfire, related to timing? Well Thanks and sorry for any ranting or errors. Email me at c4markee@gmail.com as I can read emails off my phone while at work not view the page. I will be home and look at it before I go back to doing the belt.
