Default OEM Stereo Swap

I have a question about swapping in a new stereo. My parents have a '98 conversion van with the AM/FM Cassette stereo. I'd like to swap in a Mach CD/MP3 player from the '01-04 Rangers/Mustangs. Anybody know if this will fit? Any mounting issues, wire harness issues, etc? If not, anybody know of a good aftermarket cd/mp3 that will fit correctly and is easy to see/use for older folks?
