Yes there is a way to check the coil. Search under my name in the windstar forum.

IF it is missing on cyl number 1 you don't have to check them all! Now I don't know how your engine is mounted but in a windstar the number 1 plug is so difficult to get to that I considered not changing mine. I have seen posts where members discovered that mechanics did not change the entire first bank!
