I was sevice manager at a company we had 5 trucks 4 ford rangers 1 4 cyl manual trans
and 3 with the 3.0 and auto tranny, And 1 S-10! The s-10 cost us more money then all 4 ford rangers put together!!!! It was more expensive on maintenence and repairs and not to mention fuel. The worst problem with the ranger we had was a VSS that went south and the truck had to be shifted manually, no OD! But at least it didn't need a tow! Now the s-10 got towed more times then any of them. Here is chevies excuse about the tranny problems, It usually fails around that and it isn't covered under warranty so they won't fix it. had to take it to 3 different places to get it fixed for a reasonable amount, 2 chevy dealers and one independent trans place. From around $900. to $150. For a truck with only 80k on it!!

If you have intermittant running problems or a flat spot/buck/dying/cutting out while accelerating.
Do your self a favor and try some dedicated gas
line dryer, Double or even triple dose it, It's cheaper
then throwing parts at a problem that doesn't throw
codes!!
