Sounds like my contour it's driveable but it jerks going down the road and it's hard to get going somtimes I gotta press the gas alote just to get going. I've got a 97 Contour GL Sport. The Guy I got it from said he wrecked it in a ditch and the frount end was bobing in the water. after that the transmission or something keeps sliping. It has poor accaleration,and when it hits 50 it down shifts and the trans feels like it's about to fall out..any help with my problume
