I have had good luck with CodeAlarm and friends have had good luck with Viper.
You will need an alarm that covers the entrance to all doors and has a 2 stage alarm. A 2 stage alarm is where it gives a warning beep if it is just bumped and then goes off if hit hard. Having a sensor that detects broken glass is also a good thing. Make sure the alarm will go off if any door is open along with your hood.
There are places that specialize installing alarms, you should find one in the Yellow Pages.
A remote start is also a good feature if you live where it Snows, nothing like getting out in the car and it is already warm,
