The first and cheapest thing to do would be simply to replace the Fuel filter as it probably needs it either way.
Then you should check for vacuum leaks and also check the condition of your air filter.
If you search around on the forum here you will find instructions for cleaning the Mass Air flow sensor.
If none of this fixes the problem you may want to have a Trusted Mechanic do a diagnostic. It might also be worth while to stop at a parts store and have them check to see if there are any stored error codes in the computer.
