Hey there...1998 Ranger XLT 4x4/4.0 with 185,000 on it. I really didn't run into any major repairs until about 120,000 when I had to have the tranny replaced at $2800 with a $1000 core and $500 labor, $2300 total. Other than that this truck has been through a lot including a few trips across the country. The only thing I have to bitch about is how many sets of brakes I've put on it but anyone who knows Ford brakes can expect that!!

I have used Quaker State oil religously and it dosn't use a bit between changes if that helps!
