1990 and forward, the broncos had the E4OD trans. Electronically controlled. The sensors that the PCM uses (at least in part) are the TPS, VSS, and load sensors to determine shifting points.
The VSS from 1992 forward is located in the rear diff and serves dual purpose, as the RearABS sensor, and VSS. Prior to 1992 the VSS was located in the transfercase. The RABS was still in the rear diff.
