Default 2007 Escape Vibration problem

My brand new 2007 Escape has a cyclical vibration that I feel at speeds over 50. I am getting ready to go pick it up from the dealer for the second time and for the second time they are telling me that it is "normal". So in other words, it is normal for my brand new car to vibrate at high speeds? I don't think so - but I can't seem to get them to understand that. This is my second Escape - the first one rode smooth as silk on the highway.
The vibration "pulses", about once a second roughly. There is no visible shaking in the steering wheel - just a feel. The service manager could feel it - and supposedly he drove two other new Escapes and felt it as well. Ford quality gone down the tubes? I'm just amazed that they would consider this "normal".
My questions are: any ideas on what it could be? what is my next step as far as voicing my disapproval with this situation (regional service manager or something)? Has anyone else felt this type of vibration in a 2007? Any help on this would be GREAT!
Linda
