Thanks for this thread. Found very useful. My problem was slightly different. I had BOTH windows stop working at same time. Ford diagnosed both motors bad. NO WAY!! I pulled driver's motor from regulator and hooked back to power -- tested no problem with motor. Put back in worked great. Did same on passenger window -- again no problem. Passenger motor was slightly jammed on regulator and required a little encouragement to dislodge. Leads me to believe that it had jammed and caused some type of circuit protection to kick in. Read in Haynes about a circuit breaker and may require resetting; however, does not say where or how.
Thanks again .... now to get the lighting issues resolved -- hopefully the new headlight switch will cure that tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
