Default What substance does Ford use to attach windows to the window mechanism??

My mom tried to roll down her window on her 00 Expedition while it was freezing outside and the mechanism that grabs her window broke off on each side. I just took off the door panel to see what was the problem and thats what I found out. I can line the mechanism back up with the window and it will close the window but the window slips back out on the way down. Now it looks like hot glue is sticking out the sides of the grabber things so I was thinking I would just pull all that out, put in some hot glue, and put the window back on it.
Is it really hot glue or is it somethin else like epoxy or silicone? Someone help me!!
