Rumbler: I just had this on my van too. the door itself is quite heavy and after a while the motor may not have the ability to open the door to full heat. Gravity defaults the door to cold air if the actuator isn't working, or if it's removed altogether. Until I could get an actuator, I used my 1/4" ratchet to keep the door on full heat (wedged it in there) since we had a cold snap of course. Sometimes too, because of the weight of the door, the gear can slip teeth when trying to open to heat. Best bet, replace the actuator with a new unit.
