Default 95 Windstar bad engines

WE have a 1995 Windstar that we replaced the engine two years and a little over 6000 miles ago. After about 12 months and a little over 3000 miles engine began to make noise, clicking sound from deep in engine. Dealer (Ford) that installed engine told us thrust bearings were gone and engine had excessive crankshaft end play. Engine was replaced under warranty, now 12 months alter and again a little over 3000 miles later engine began making a rattling sound (like broken flex-plate), now we are told this engine needs replacing again it will be under warranty, but seems very strange two engines in two years with less than 6000 miles on vehicle. My wife drives the vehicle and is not an agressive driver. any body have any ideas. The van is in good condition and we like it but the next engine will be on us as the original replacement engine will be out of warranty. I went with a Ford factory engine for the warranty and expected a quality product. Any input would be appreciated.
