 2002 Ford Escape catalytic converter
I have a 2002 Ford Escape. I also had a problem with the catalytic converter. It was in the shop from March 5, 2007 until April 12, 2007. They replaced all three cats and the muffler. Supposedly there were no cats available in the United States. When we received it back we drove 200 miles and the cats have to be replaced again. We have 78,000 miles so we are just below the 80,000 mile warranty. Corporate Ford has been no help. The dealer we took it to have been sympathetic but Ford Corp has been no help to them either. They do not know what is causing the problem. They are waiting to hear from the Ford engineers. We have asked for loaners but to no avail. Ford Corporation just gives you the run around. |
