Ford hasn't really changed much between the years 1996-2002 (hence same problems occur)
That would probably not work because the 95 and the 98 transmissions have different gear ratios and unless you get the computer reprogrammed for the 1998 transmission settings, it will shift your tranny to death.
But keep hope alive, you can get a 1995 transmission at junk jards such as Harry's u-pull it for $35 (though i don't know if i'd trust it) |
