I have a NEW 3 week old 2007 Escape XLT Sport V6 that needs the catalytic converter(s) replaced, according to the dealer's service techs/manager. Of course it will be under warranty, but found out about the problem after the check engine light came on, and we subsequently took it to be checked out.

Definately NOT a good feeling to have something this crucial needing to be replaced with having had the car for less than 3 weeks.
