Default 1998 Ranger hesitation during acceleration..

I hope you guys can help me out, I have a 98 Ranger XL 3.0L V6 that has been having hesitation problems. In the mornings when I'm accelerating the engine seems to have a lot of hesitation like there is no gas getting to the engine. After driving it for about ten minutes the problem seems to go away. I took it to the shop to see if they could find anything wrong but they told me that the hesitation would happen for about 30 seconds and by the time they got to the engine to see what was causing it, the problem would go away. I was thinking that it might be a fuel pump problem but I was hoping it was some kind of simple fix. Does anybody have any Idea what could be causing this problem? By the way the temperature has been falling at night now. Thanks for your help.
