Default 1992 2.3 Ranger weird problem

I will try to describe to the best i can. im not a mech but can do sinple tasks.

ok heres the deal my ranger is running bad, i just found out yesterday that only 2 of the 8 spark plugs are getting power and that in the secondary only, the primary coil is not getting any power from the 3 wire plugs that goes into the coil, what controls the? ICM??? it smells like raw gas and runs like the little engine that could ( i think i can ) lol, dont even know where to start ive tried to change both coil pack with different ones, no change still runs the same, what should i check??? oh sometimes its fixes itself after 15 min of driving than runs better, but lately its getting worse...
