Solution for Overheating Ok, i just read a thread where you all had the same problem but didnt listen to the guy to fix it, so heres my reply, in form of a new post.
The OHC motors needed new tensioners, 40 bux, also, the fan is ALWAYS on, its a belt driven fan, saying that, how ever cast the crank is spoinning, the fan is doing the same. Another thing. REPLACE THE RADIATOR. Think about it. Ok, my grand parents had a taurus a few years back, and it would over head when it was in gear and not moving, HALF the radiotor didnt work propertly. For everytone. Replace belt and tensioner (about 45-mion for you to do yourself. very easy), New thermostat and hoses, and if that dont fix it, new radiator. Now once all these are replaced, you should be good. Untill you fix all this, dont drive you truck fat. if it goes past the H, your gonna granade your motor. |
