i didn't see thermostat listed as a cause??????also once a mechanic removed my thermostat i don't ever remember it ever overheating,however the heat won't work,of course. yes if a radiator gets stopped up it will overheat. my last vehicle was a dodge kept overheating. i was told to touch the radiator after it got hot, top, middle, bottom. i did and one part u could't touch was too hot, the other part u could touch for 30 minutes. big difference, replaced radiator no more overheating problems.
