If there is no spark at the plug, you need to move to the output HT lead from the coil and see if you have a spark there. Substitute a HT plug lead for the HT lead from coil to distributor and see if you have a spark at the coil output. If you do then you probably have a problem with the cap and/or rotor. Check the cap for a good spring loaded connection at the top where the rotor makes contact and good connections where the HT leads plug in. Check rotor for damage and poor contact with cap connections. Check cap for cracks or moisture. If in doubt just replace them both.
If no fire at the new coil then the low tension circuit is the problem. You will have an ignition module somewhere that could be faulty. Also the crankshaft position sensor could be faulty or have a bad connection.
