 stupid light
I have recently (a month ago today) acquired a 2004 Escape. I traded in a 1999 F-150 4X4 ext. cab for the escape. I had 190,000 miles on the F-150 with few more problems than what I would consider regular maintenance. Now I bought this Escape and am having the same issues with the blinking light. 5 blinks then 7 blinks over and over and then the light will come on and stay on. But some times it does not come on. Some times it will just come on and stay on.
My wife tells me to call the dealer but I am sure they will say the warranty does not cover it. I came to this site for information before I go trying to spend money on something I feel I should not. I am definitely going to check the wire harness first.
My wife likes to drive the vehicle and is not the same in stature as I am. The seat gets moved a lot over the weekends when she takes it and then I take it. This leads me to believe that this may be the issue.
Just another issue I found with the vehicle. I bought this vehicle because the sticker claimed the mileage would be 19 city and 25 highway. WRONG!!!! try 16-19 period. I have a forty mile one-way trip back and forth to work. I should have stuck to the truck at this point. Just a little extra rant. |
