haven't had a chance to post lately but I did get a chance to do a little more disassembly.
The cylinder walls look pretty good, the piston tops look a little black, the valves and combustion chambers are discolored, but I think that every thing is rebuildable for sure. I labeled each push rod , rocker and bolt and stored them safely.
The starter and altenator I can get rebuilt locally.
I'll attach some pics and I hope to pull the block out next time I go out to the garage.
Wed. is supoosed to be warm, we've had severe cold temps lately and my garage is not heated, I did however break down and bought a propane heater.
