Replica is on a distinguished road
Default Is it the alternator or ??

A few months ago I got a 1999 Taurus with about 98k miles on it. After a few weeks of having it the batter died so, I got a new one. About a month later the battery died again and I am guessing it is the alternator. How ever I am not quite sure.

Here's the thing, I have been using a starter kit to jump my car when I use it. I usually have to jump it every time I use it. If I drive it some where, turn the car off and go to school or a movie then come back sometimes it starts right up. While other times it needs to be jumped.
As far as I know I do not have any lights burned out in the car, that might be draining the battery. The radio is factory, just a cassete player and radio. I know no lights are left on by accident when the car is off.

I do not really have any reliable mechanics to go to that won't tell me something is wrong with X and ripping me off.

When I turn on the engine, the interior lights get brighter than they are when the engine is off. The headlights dim when I turn on the radio, heat or even the turn signals.

What do you think?
