Default Re: bronco tailgate

I had the same problem. It turned out to be the rubber bushings on the strike post, one on each side of the tailgate side jambs. They were worn down to nothing and the tailgate wouldn't close tight enough to activate the safety switch. Super simple to replace them and cheap, Good Luck
