got some work done today on the rear end. I completed the install of the Granada rear end into the 64 Flacon.
It is not a straight bolt in as implied by many post. true, its not much to make it work, but there is some fab work to be don.

the main thing is the plates that go under the leaf spring and the U-bolts are different.
the rear end of the Falcon axel tube are necked down on the outboard end, the Granada is not, so the Granada rear end needs wider U-bolts. that means it wont fit the bottom plates of the stock Falcon.
you could weld up one set of holes and re-drill for the wider U-bolt if you wanted to use the stock Falcon lower plates.
the other difference is the on the Falcon, both rear shocks are in front of the axel, on the Granada, one in front, one in back.

this is what I did to make it work.
on the drivers side bottom plate, i cut off the ear that the shock is mounted to and moved it to the forward end of the plate. welded on a couple of gussets for strength and used wider, longer U-bolts. I also used all the mounts that came off the Granada since they have rubber pads that sandwich the leaf springs.
I also installed new axel bearing and seals.
here are some pics.

theses are the stock Falcon bottom plates.

the Granada mounts dry assembled.

with the rear end lose fitted.

and if you look close to the bottom plate, you can see where i moved the ear that the shock goes through from the upper right coner of the pic to the lower right coner of the pic.
