Thanks! They may not be the same. I had a 99 Ford Ranger two weeks ago, for exactly two weeks. It was a great truck. Bought it from a friend, it had 41,000 miles on it. Two weeks to the day and I had a collision on the freeway, the truck was totaled. If only I had swiped the jack, and spare, before the auto dismantler towed it off.

On the 99 Ranger, regular cab, the jack was in a compartment behind the passenger seat right up against the back wall, with a cover over them that screwed down, and on my 99 Ranger all the pieces were there. On the 2001, at least with the extended cab, there are two compartments built into the sides of the truck. The one on the passenger side seems to have brackets in the bottom that look to me like what the jack should be sitting in, but I have seen one yet. I am following Rangers around like a loon hoping to speak to someone who has the jack! I'm gonna get stopped for stalking!
