Here in Northern Ohio its flat as a pancake but in a strong head wind my 05 automatic will jump in and out of overdrive.

Does it only do it while moving and in gear, what happens if you put it in neutral and rev the engine a little?

If it does it while sitting still try taking a length of vacuum hose and place one end close to your ear and with the other end try and locate the noise.
