Default 1993 Ford Probe GT Engine Surging

My Probe will surge once every couple of weeks. Once it starts it will continue to do it. I have found out that if I bleed the cooling system, it lessens the chance of it happening for another couple of weeks. I tried to find any signs of anti freeze leaking but cannot see any. I have thought about a vacuum leak but have no idea of how to check this. Since the Probe is a 1993, no one around here has the adapter to fit the engine. The closest I can get to it is a 1995 Probe adapter. The check engine light is on but with no way to check what it is saying, that lead does me no good. I have noticed lately that once in a while the computer will beep 5 times, stop, beep 5 times , etc. It beeps a total of six times with each time being 5 beeps. Any help for this would be greatly appreciated. Could the Air Idle Control Valve cause the engine to surge? Or can the 02 sensor cause this? The car has a 2.5L V6 engine that runs like a dream otherwise. I am just absolutely frustrated with trying to find out what is causing this problem. From what I know , this car has never been winter driven and I don't drive it during the winter months. If you know what the Probe 6 cylinder engines are like, you will realize how tightly it is fit into the 4 cylinder bay. If any further information is required, please let me know. Thanks.
