Don’t know if this will help, but I had to replace a Trans in a 08 Fusion 4 banger. The fluid was burnt but not black, no trouble set in the PCM/TCM and had some slippage in all gears. When I dropped the pan I found a little burnt clutch material. The Trans on the fusion I worked on is built by Mazda and none serviceable.

I agree with firstwindstar02. however make sure they show you documentation on the invoice shows that they ran all the transmission tests there suppose to and came up with no problem found – witch buy the way I think Ford under warranty pays for. Just because it happened to you and they could duplicate the concern doesn’t mean it didn’t happened or a problem still exist. Keep all your records, if the problem returns try to give them as much helpful info as possible as to when where and what kind of driving conditions at time of problem.
