The most common cause of the ABS light to come on, is a fouled ABS wheel speed sensor... I recommend getting the codes scanned with an ABS scanner, otherwise you might end up replacing all 4 sensors for nothing.

I've never heard of tone rings breaking, but check it anyway I guess.
