Angry More Headlight Issues

I just changed the engine in a 96 Explorer and everything went well but now no low beam headlights -- I have high beams when on constantly or in flash to pass mode, and all other lights are working except the fog lamps. All fuses are good but no power to the headlamps on low beam. I changed out the fog lamp relay and still no low beam headlights. I assume now it is the multi function switch (name in wiring diagram) that contrrols the turn signal, headlight, hazard warning etc. Am I on the right track as that is not a cheap switch to replace just to see what happens??
