Default Opinions: 1989 Econoline

I have a chance to get an econoline van from my uncle. The price is right (he wants it out of his yard). Me and my friends have been looking for a vehicle to "customize" the interior and this one looks like it.

Van: 1989 Ford Econoline 350 (My uncle actually claims its a 450, is this possible?)
7.3L Engine with a Turbo (So my uncle says); I know its a diesel and has a banks sticker
Automatic, Cargo, Extended, Dual Alternators, Dual Batterys

My uncle says it hasn't ran since early 04 when it was parked there by a friend of his, it supposedly ran good before that. I turned the key on and the gauges seemed to work, the front tank had about 1/4 tank, the rear about 1/8. The wait to start light came on and stayed on for about 10 sec, but the battery is too dead to start it.

So, good deal? Or should I say no way.

PS he has the title
