 steering shake and loss of engine power
hi i have a 1990 ford escort gt with the 1.9 HO when the car heats up to a certain point it starts to lose power this isnt really that horrible of a problem though the main problem is when it is warm and only sometimes the entire front end of the car will shake like a wheel isnt balanced but this only happens between 45 and 75 miles per hour anything less or above its fine and if you keep driving for about 2 miles after it starts shaking it goes away while its shaking the engine isnt as powerful and smells like something is burning after you stop driving it i put a brand new clutch and pressure plate along with throw out bearing in it to see if that was the problem with the loss of power but that wasnt it any help is appreciated
