Default Possibly buying a 1970 ranchero, need some help!

Okay, so I was going to buy a newer toyota truck since I'm in construction. Then, eventually I was going to buy a 1960's mustang for a project. Then I saw this ranchero locally for $3500. The description says: 1970 Ford Ranchero. 351 Cleveland, new edelbrock 750 Carb, Duel Flowmaster exhaust. What's the MPG on something like this? And can the bed actually handle a load, like a small load of dirt and maybe a trash run? And any weak points or places that something usually breaks that I should look for? Here's a picture of it, I think it looks great!

thanks for your time!
