had to cure some cancer today that was in the battery section of the front rt fender well.
first i cut out a small section and then found a replacement inner fender well part that came out of a mustang catalog, so i opened up the hole alot more than i was orriginally going to.

this is the first hole i cut using an air saw, these are great for cutting thin metal or wood, a great tool to have.

you can see where i was orriginally going to replace sheet metal before i got the mustang pannel.

here is the pannel before i cut the opening bigger, i traced it with a silver marker, orriginally, it was a full inner fender pannel, but i cut it down to just what i needed, if you dont have a welder, you could use it as is.

then cut out the opening to match the pannel.

then weld it in. I used a small 110V mig welder for this job since the metal is so thin. it worked pretty good. sorry for the pic quality on this shot...my bad!

then grind it and sand it smooth.

and it ready to re-paint....tomorrow.
