My 2007 Taurus was in the dealer shop for a week for water leak in front passenger side floor. The cause: a factory defect. The plugs were not put in for the area between the firewall and engine is what I was told. My entire car interior and dash was taken apart I believe. This is used car for me with some new car warranty left, thanks goodness. They initially replaced two common parts that usually take care of this problem, but when they got my car from that lot after they supposedly thought it was fixed, it was discovered that the heavy rain from the previous night's storm has filled the floorboard again. That is when they dug deeper and found this factory defect. I hope that this might help other owners who may be encountering this problem.
