Default TPS Throttle Position Sensor

I don't know what happened but I took the TPS off, freed it and put it back on and the car idled perfectly. Not only that, my Check Engine light went off for the first time in about a year. I showed it off that the light was out. Drove my son and his girlfriend to her house and when I left the damn Check Engine light came back on. Later on, after the engine cooled, I backed it into the new shelter I put up for it. When I started the car, the engine was cold and the Check Engine light was again off. All I have to do now, is figure out why it stays off when cold and comes on when warmed up.
