Does it only howl at idle? Does it sound like a freight train?
Go to your IAC (Idle air controler), and pull off this black cap. It is located on the driver's side of the intake.
After pulling the cap, it will look like this
Did the howl stop? If it did, you either need to clean your IAC or replace it.
