How dependable are the hydraulic clutches for these vans? And any way to tighten the gear shifter, it has some slop to it.
Any particular place to get interior parts such as the panel that holds the wiper and headlight switches?

Thank you for your help.
In 1992 I bought a similar van to yours, same year and drivetrain for $500 with over 200K showing. Shortly after I bought it I moved from southern Ontario to northern Alberta. I moved all our stuff and moved all the way out there (2500 miles), used it daily and for vacations. I put almost another 200K on it in six years and the only thing I had to do was air filter and oil changes, one set of plugs, brakes twice, tires and a fuel pump. This is one strong truck and very reliable. The engine was the best thing in it, reliable and easy to maintain, in my opinion one of the best engines Ford ever made. I've had two more vehicles with the 4.9 and I still like that engine. I never had any problems with the clutch but sloppy gear shifters in that van seem to be common, although I was used to driving it that way and never did do anything about it.
