Yep, its true. You just need to take it into the ford dealership, and they will swap it out. I never got the recall notice about it, and I have the faulty harness. When I took it in, they insisted it was fine, even though I know it's not. I'm not going to bother with it now, since it is always parked outside, and it will be being replaced with a new explorer in a month or so. I'm thinking a 98 or 99, but I can't decide if I want another sport, or a 4 door. I want a manual, but I want the V8 also...decisions, decisions...sorry for getting off topic, but yeah, just bring it down to the ford dealership and get that taken care of ASAP.
