if your gonna open up the back with a high flow catalytic converter then you need to open up the front by getting a cold air intake system, i would look into a company called weapon R i know they have kits for 1st gen escapes not sure about 2nd generations. But like i said if your gonna increase the power output by allowing an increase in exhaust flow then you need to increase intake flow.
