84crownvic is on a distinguished road
Exclamation Hey all, crown vic problems, help?

I just bought a 1984 Crown Victoria LTD. It purrs. It has a 302 v8 and power everything. Now as I'm driving down the road the car automatic transmission progresses through it's gears it shifts way to late. The engine is at high rpms winding out and I'm wondering when it will hit the next gear. Sooner or later it will shift to the next gear. This car only has 54k original miles on it. I bought it from a one owner 97 year old lady(no kidding) she had only put 200 miles on it since last aug. I paid $475 which was a steal. Does anybody know how serious this is. This car has probably not seen overdrivre in many years since she was elderly and only drove in town. Please tell me I'm not screwed and that that little old lady didn't just take me to the cleaners.
