Question 2003 expidition starting problems

Mine just started doing the same thing about two or three weeks ago. Has 62,000 on it. Sometimes it starts immediately especially cold. After running and then sitting a little while it will crank a long time sometimes sputtering to a start. If I turn the key off and back on it starts immediately everytime. Once started it idles like new, runs great, plenty of power, etc (5.4L)

Ford tested the fuel pump, said ok and then tried to sell me a battery. The thing cranks just fine. They did an injector maintenance on it still does the same thing. I'm mad at myself for letting them catch me off guard and sell maintenance not fixing the problem I have esp warrenty still good.

From other posts it sounds like a fuel pump anyway. It either is not getting spark to fire or fuel to fire and since it does start and runs once started , I'm thinking fuel.
