Default 1994 escort air conditioning

I have a 1994 escort wagon and my compressor won't kick on. It spins but when I turn it on I can see it's not engaging. I lifted the air filter housing but didn't see any type of box (ccrm).
I replaced both the fuses in the car and on the fender well and still nada. It did work a month ago but now nothing. Any ideas?
